Agripreneurs Incubation and Training Division (AIT)

The focus will be on urban farming through select commodity value chains incubation and training, as well as production and processing of a select number of value chains at the Centre through application of appropriate technologies, including e-commerce

Capacity Building and Training

The Youth centre brings in agripreneurs from across Africa for incubation and training at the Centre, and supports them to set up their own businesses, including after training mentoring and hand-holding by experienced mentors and its collaborators. The objective is to create jobs, stimulate youth-led agribusinesses, and to contribute to food self-sufficiency across Africa, in addition to promoting commodity exports.
With access to world class training facilities, experienced Agripreneurs from Africa countries, and accommodation facilities the Urban Youth center is well suited to serve as training and incubation centre for participant around Africa.

Business Models

The initial focus will be on capacity building; urban farming on select value chains such as aquaculture, mushrooms/snails, hydroponic vegetables and horticulture production, as well as bakery that promotes blending of wheat and cassava flours (cassava Bread), in addition to processing and storage to reduce post-harvest losses.
