
About the Programme.
Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in collaboration with WEMA Bank, through the bank’s ongoing Skillnovation project aimed at empowering Nigerian youths with the essential digital, technical, and business skills they require to improve their employability/own thriving businesses, is training 1,000 youths between the ages of 18 to 35 years old across the FCT.
This intensive training program will leverage the expertise of the Research, Development & Training Initiative (RDTI), a subsidiary of the Africa Projects Development Centre (APDC) Group, to train beneficiaries in these relevant skills. The program will be hosted at the APDC Group headquarters, Plot 17/18 FRCN Layout, Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The program is structured to run over ten months, commencing on 7th April 2026. To ensure focused learning, the 1,000 selected participants will be divided into ten separate cohorts, with each cohort lasting for one month and accommodating 100 individuals. Each trainee will be assigned to and shall participate in only one cohort.
The comprehensive training will feature group projects, employment, entrepreneurship and hands-on onsite training across 5 focus enterprises, namely;
• Make-up Artistry.
• Hair styling/Wig Crafting
• Culinary/Confectionery
• Digital Marketing.
• Shoemaking.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Age: Youth aged 18-35 years.
• Commitment: Applicants must be willing to participate fully in the training program.
• Banking Requirement: Applicants must be willing to open up an account with WEMA Bank.
• Females are strongly encouraged to apply.
Location: APDC Group Headquarters - Gwagwalada, Abuja.
Duration: One Month.
